BSA to Launch Newspaper Fundraising
Program

Technology Systems (DTS) is excited
to announce the alliance between San
Gabriel Valley Council, Boy Scouts
of America and our major media
partner the Los Angeles Newspaper
Group (LANG).
The result is a mutually beneficial
newspaper fundraising program: the
Scouts raise much-needed funds
through generous commissions (from
DTS) earned for selling
subscriptions, while six
participating LANG newspapers
acquire increased circulation via a
potent and respected sales force.
After pre-promotion messaging, the
program launches with a direct mail
order form sent to more than 20,000
Scouting households in the SGV
Council's territory. Each BSA member
is encouraged to sell one prepaid
26-week Sunday-Only subscription.
As an incentive to subscribe,
customers also receive a Scout
Savings Card good for unlimited
usage and savings on shopping and
dining at 1,000s of participating
retailers nationwide for a one year.
The cost of the subscription/savings
card package is only $20.
